This article looks at the challenges facing supervisors required to manage teams that are diversified at both the ethno-cultural, generational and professional level as well as in terms of gender representation. Using examples, we first present the specific impact of different forms of diversity within work teams. We then examine what steps supervisors can take to overcome these different challenges and to realize the full potential of a diversified team. Finally, we highlight the key conditions that must be respected when supervising a diversified team.
